Bob's wife had gotten him a Tascam DR-05X for his birthday a year ago, and he'd yet to take it for its inaugural spin. Finally, when Ed visited Vacationland, they grabbed a few more missing pieces of technology (read: a memory card and some sort of cable for Ed's loop station that wasn't amidst the random collection of cables in The Tone Zone), and gave the field recorder a whirl. These 4 "songs" emerged. Simple, improvised jamming with some pretty cool parts, and even some transitions that nearly sound planned. All while remaining raw. Very, very raw. Unpretentious drumming with unique guitar.

On the subject of things laying around: Bob had some blank white tapes that had been purchased over a decade ago for his short-lived Washington, DC based space-punk band Time Travel. TT's tapes never came to fruition (though, it's not too late...), and a couple handful have now been dedicated to housing these free flowing jams forever. Bob came up with the name Golf Club a while ago and both dudes thought it was cool for its ambiguity. Is it a physical golf club like a 9 iron or a driver? Or is it an exclusive location where only elite, high-paying golfers have access? No one knows for sure. So here it is: Golf Club.
